What we hold, and why.
We ask for the least we can and use it for one thing: making your sash and getting it to you.
What we collect
At checkout: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, city and region.
From your design: the embroidery text you enter, and any logo, crest or artwork you choose to upload.
We never see or store your card or mobile money credentials. Those go directly to Paystack on their own page — the payment step leaves this site entirely.
Why we need your email and phone
Neither is used for promotion. We do not run a mailing list, we do not send marketing, and we do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for advertising.
Paystack will not open a payment without one, so an email address is required to check out at all. It is also where your receipt goes, and how we confirm your order.
Phone
It is how the workshop reaches you. A sash is made to order, so if your artwork will not stitch cleanly, your thread colour will not read against the fabric, or the courier cannot find the address, someone calls you — before it is cut, not after.
Who else sees it
Paystack processes the payment and receives your email and name to do it. They are a licensed payment provider and hold their own record of the transaction under their own policy.
Our courier receives the name, phone number and address needed to deliver.
Nobody else. Orders live in a private database, uploaded artwork lives in private storage and is served only through this site, and the staff view that shows an order is behind a passcode.
How long we keep it
We keep your order details while we make and deliver your sash, and afterwards in our business records — a sale, what it was, what was paid and when — because accounting and tax rules require us to keep records of what we sold.
We are working on removing contact details and artwork from older orders once they are no longer needed. Until that is in place we would rather say so here than claim otherwise.
Your artwork
Anything you upload is used to make your sash and nothing else. We do not publish a customer’s sash, name or artwork without asking them first.
Asking us to remove your details
Write to info@sashplug.com and we will remove what we are not required to keep. We may need to hold on to the record of the sale itself, but not to your contact details or your artwork.
